COLD STEPPE is working to improve soil health and sequester carbon

We are processing agriculture residue into a soil amendment

Building

Cold Steppe picked Stuttgart, Arkansas as the site of our first facility. It is the beating heart of rice country and a community we are proud to join.

Hyperlocal

Joining the community, finding our local banking partners, and making Cold Steppe an integral part of the local agriculture system is important to our mission. We want to help farmers invest in their soil, and to direct funds into the local economy.

Veteran Owned

Cold Steppe was founded by two retired US Navy Submariners and is a service disabled veteran owned small business certified by the United States Small Business Administration

Partnerships

Cold Steppe is not a standalone company bringing a product to market. We are part of a community and our outreach to local leaders in business, agriculture, academia and charitable/non-profit organizations reflect that focus.

Nourishing Burn

Nourishing Burn is our name for the biochar soil amendment. Its the acceleration of the natural cycle, making a coral reef for the soil that will provide better nutrient availabilty, water retention and soil decompaction.
